  18. This Retribution demo does not have to be installed to your hard drive. 
  19. You can run it straight from the CD drive. This does however mean that you'll
  20. need to type in some command line options to tell the program what the system 
  21. setup is.
  22.  
  23. The demo is inside the RETRIB directory on the CD.
  24.  
  25. There are two separate demos you can run, RETDEMO4 if you have 4Mb of RAM
  26. available or RETDEMO8 if you have 8Mb of RAM available. The 8Mb version has
  27. in-game music.
  28.  
  29. The command line options are:
  30.  
  31.         MOUSE(default)  If you want to play using a mouse.
  32.  
  33.         JOYSTICK        If you want to play using a joystick.
  34.  
  35.         KEYBOARD        If you want to play using a keyboard.
  36.  
  37.         SB8             Play SFX/music through 8 bit Sound Blaster.
  38.  
  39.         SB16            Play SFX/music through 16 bit Sound Blaster.
  40.  
  41.         SBAUTO          Auto detect Sound Blaster base address.
  42.  
  43.         SBPORT=<no>     Manually set the Sound Blaster base address.
  44.  
  45.         SBIRQ=<no>      Manually set the Sound Blaster IRQ number.
  46.  
  47.         SBDMA=<no>      Manually set the Sound Blaster DMA.

  49.         MIDIPORT=<no>   Play music through general MIDI.

  51.         SB16MIDI=<no>   Play music through the Sound Blaster 16 MIDI.

  54. For example if you want to run the demo with 8bit Sound Blaster SFX and MIDI
  55. music you would type:

  59. or if you want to run it with joystick, 16 bit SFX/muisc and your card won't
  60. auto detect properly.
